The
Harland Foundation supports effective, well-led organizations that
enhance opportunities for children, youth and families living in low
income neighborhoods, working through thee primary Areas of Interest:
CHILDREN AND YOUTH | Support
for early childhood education and after school and summer programs,
programs that enhance success in public schools, and programs that help
prevent youth violence. |
COMMUNITY SERVICES | Support
for programs that provide a safety net and that collaborate with other
partners to target those in greatest need and strengthen families across
generations. |
ARTS EDUCATION | Support for Arts Education programs that seek to enhance student’s educational and social and emotional outcomes in pre-K through young adulthood. |

Types of Support
The Foundation provides support for:
Geographic Focus
Priority is given to nonprofits in City of Atlanta and DeKalb County. No grants are made outside the state of Georgia.
Organization Size and Duration
Before contacting the Foundation, an organization must have at
least one full-time employee and broad support from its own base of
supporters, including board members, and have been in operation
providing programs and services for a minimum of two years. Grants are
not considered to start up operations.
Frequency of Grant Requests
Organizations may only apply to the Foundation every 12 months.
This is true whether a previous grant request was approved or declined.
